Fossil Future

A golden ammonite shell spirals at the composition's heart, its chambers crystallized with quartz and mineral deposits that catch the light. Around it, the present tense erupts: lush pink peonies, coral-orange dahlias, golden trumpet flowers pressing in from every direction. Bone fragments and fossilized vertebrae peek through the botanical mass. The ancient and the alive share the same frame without hierarchy — the ammonite no less vital than the blooming flower beside it. Deep time collapsed into a single image. The fossil is the future's past.
