How Drift Gallery Works
Drift Gallery is a community built around the whole journey of AI art— making it, sharing the process behind it and sharing with the people who love it. Create with AI-powered tools, showcase your portfolio, share or sell your prompts, workflows and personas, and connect with fans who support you directly.
This page walks through how all of it works — the five parts of the platform, in detail.
Plans
Signup is open and free. You can browse, follow, tip, and buy without ever paying for a plan. Paid plans are for uploading and showing your own work, and for the AI generation tools in Drift Studio.
- Free — $0. Browse the gallery, follow artists, tip, and buy. A one-time grant of 50 starter credits to try Drift Studio for private work.
- Resident — $5/month. Upload your work, build a gallery, sell, offer fan subscriptions, and use the Studio Editor. A one-time grant of 100 starter credits to try the AI generation tools. Built for artists who bring their own generation pipeline and want a home for the work.
- Artist — $9/month. Everything in Resident, plus a monthly credit allotment that powers the AI generation tools.
- Artist Pro — $29/month. Everything in Artist, plus a larger monthly credit allotment, higher upload limits, a lower platform fee, and a boost in Featured eligibility.

Getting started: create a free account to start browsing, tipping, and collecting. To upload and sell your own work, pick a paid plan — your posts go live as soon as they clear the automated content scan. Connect Stripe in Settings whenever you're ready to receive payouts.
Drift Studio
Your private AI-powered creative workspace. Drift Studio is where the work gets made and refined. Free accounts get a one-time grant to try it; Resident gets a one-time grant of 100 credits; Artist and Artist Pro plans include a monthly credit allotment.
Personas
Build AI art personas, each with a unique visual identity — a style profile, reference images, a scene library, and generator preferences. A persona captures your aesthetic so Drift Studio can generate batch prompts tuned to your exact look, instead of generic ones. Personas can stay private, or be listed on the marketplace for other artists to buy and generate from.
Prompt generation
Generate 5, 10, or 15 prompts at a time, tuned to your persona's style profile and scene library, formatted for whichever AI tool you target. Standard and Premium models are available — Premium produces denser, more literary prompts. For personas set up for dual media, Drift Studio produces paired image + video prompts that share a scene.
Drift Image and Drift Video
Drift Studio can also generate preview images directly inside the platform — no external tool needed — and animate a still image into a short clip, or generate a clip from a text description. The output drops straight into your workspace, ready to edit and publish.
Visual editor
A browser-based canvas for compositing your artwork: layers, text, filters, crop and rotate, and animated overlays from a curated library. It works on both images and video, and it publishes directly to your gallery. The editor itself costs no credits — it's part of every paid plan.
Scene library
Build a library of scene descriptions — locations, compositions, and visual anchors your persona draws from during generation. Extract scenes automatically from reference images, or write them by hand. A richer scene library means more distinctive, less generic output.
AI refinement
Iterate on your persona's style profile and scene descriptions with AI-assisted suggestions. Voice refinement lets you tune a persona in natural language — describe the change you want and Studio applies it.
Credits
Drift Studio's generation tools run on credits. Free accounts get a one-time grant of 50 at signup; Resident gets a one-time grant of 100; Artist includes a monthly allotment that resets on your billing anniversary; Artist Pro includes a larger monthly allotment. You can top up anytime with one-time credit packs. The Studio Editor doesn't use credits — only the AI generation features do. The full per-action cost table lives on the Pricing page.
Artist Galleries
Your public portfolio — art, writing, and community. Every artist gets a gallery page at driftgallery.io/yourusername. It's your home base on the platform, and building it out is the point — whether or not you ever sell anything.
Portfolio
A dedicated gallery page for your artwork and video, in a masonry layout with media filters and style tags. Feature your best work at the top. Upload limits: Resident and Artist get 5 images/day, 5 videos/week, and 15 GB of active storage; Artist Pro gets 20 images/day, 15 videos/week, and 75 GB. New accounts get 50% of these caps for their first week. You can add a signature or watermark to your work — upload your own, or build one from preset artist-style fonts — and control its position, size, and opacity. All uploads are scanned by automated content moderation; suggestive artistic work is allowed, explicit sexual content and photorealistic gore are not. See /content-policy for full details.
Writing
Publish long-form articles — workflow breakdowns, tutorials, creative-process deep-dives. The rich text editor handles headings, lists, code blocks, links, and inline images. Connect your Medium blog to surface those posts alongside your native writing.
Fan subscriptions
Set a monthly price between $5 and $25 and let fans subscribe to support you directly — for the person and the ongoing work, not a specific post. You decide what subscribers get: offer your Recipes and Blueprints free to subscribers, post exclusive artwork and writing, or simply let them back you with no perks attached. Subscribers get a Supporter badge on their comments.
Subscriber content
A dedicated tab on your gallery for subscriber-only posts and writing. Non-subscribers see blurred previews with a subscribe CTA, so the work is visible enough to be enticing without being given away.
Marketplace
Sell your creative process — prompts, workflows, and personas. Selling is optional — plenty of artists are here just to make work and be part of the community — but if you want to, the marketplace is how you package up the process behind your work and offer it to others. It's also where you come if you're here to learn techniques or pick up prompts that work.
Recipes
Copy-paste prompt packages: the exact prompt an artist used, tool-specific instructions, and style notes. Copy it, paste it into your AI tool, generate similar results. Priced from free to $10+. Recipes are non-refundable — they're delivered instantly as digital content.
Blueprints
Complete technical workflows — prompts, negative prompts, generation settings, LoRA references, ComfyUI JSON files, and creator notes. Built for artists with local AI setups. Priced up to $50, with a 7-day refund window for specific issues. Full refund terms at /refunds.
Personas
Sell the AI art personas you've built in Drift Studio. Buyers get a version-locked copy of your persona's style profile, scene library, and generator settings to use in their own Studio.
Bundles
When a post has both a Recipe and a Blueprint, the artist can offer a bundle discount — one purchase, both products.
Buying
After buying a Recipe or Blueprint you can rate it 1–5 stars and leave a review; aggregate ratings appear once a product has five or more reviews. For Recipes, you can also mark which tools the prompt actually worked in — verified tools get a green checkmark that helps the next buyer. Everything you buy lives in My Purchases, reachable from your profile menu. You don't need a paid plan to buy — a free account can browse, buy, tip, follow, and subscribe.
Fees
There's no platform access fee beyond your plan — fees apply only when money changes hands. On Resident and Artist, it's 12% on tips and fan subscriptions and 20% on marketplace sales. On Artist Pro it's 5% on everything. Stripe also takes its standard processing fee, and payouts run on Stripe's normal schedule.
Explore & Community
Browse, follow, tip, and participate. This is the side of the platform you don't need a paid plan for — discovering artists, following the ones you love, and being part of the community.
Explore feed
Browse AI artwork from the community. The feed is editorially curated, not algorithmic — nothing gets buried for being slow or thoughtful. Sort by Hot, New, Top, Random, Free, or Featured; filter by tool, style, and media type; search by title, artist, or tag.
Weekly Drops
A shared creative theme each week, open to everyone, image or video. Submit your take, vote for your favorites — winners are announced Friday. One entry per artist, free to enter. It's a low-stakes way for the whole community to make work against a common prompt.
Following & tips
Follow artists to see their work first in your feed. Tip any artist directly, $2 to $500, to show appreciation — tips go straight to the artist, no recurring commitment.
Artists directory
Browse the full artist roster, ranked by 30-day activity rather than lifetime volume. Filter by Featured, New, or artists you follow.
Drift Pulse
AI art trend intelligence — what's working, what's emerging. Drift Pulse helps artists make informed decisions about what to explore next, instead of guessing.
Trend reports
Weekly AI-synthesized reports on tool trends, style movements, and community activity across the AI art landscape. Standard and Premium synthesis are available. Reports run on credits, like the rest of Drift Studio's generation tools.
Alerts
Set threshold-based alerts for the tools, styles, or engagement patterns you want to track, and get notified when something breaks out.
