It runs parallel to whatever you already do on X, Instagram, or elsewhere — additive, not a replacement.

Small, curated, craft-focused. The roster is invite-based on purpose — to keep quality high and keep the platform from becoming another low-effort prompt-dump. Artists talk craft, share workflows, and remix each other's ideas. Fans come for the process behind the art. Nothing on DG gets algorithmically punished for being too thoughtful or too slow — the explore feed is curated, not engagement-maximized.

Browsing, buying, tipping, and following artists is free. To upload and sell, you need a Standard ($7/mo) or Pro ($15/mo) plan.

Video tools include Runway, Pika, Kling AI, Luma Dream Machine, Google Veo, Hailuo / MiniMax, PixVerse, Vidu, Wan AI, Hunyuan, Seedance, Haiper, LTX Video, Moonvalley, and Drift Video. MidJourney, ComfyUI, Krea AI, and Grok Imagine work for both image and video (27 image-capable, 19 video-capable in total).

What does 'Mature Content' mean?

Posts with suggestive themes are marked as mature. They appear with a blurred preview in feeds — click or tap to reveal. Explicit sexual content is not permitted.

What are fan subscriptions?

Fan subscriptions are how DG fans back the artists they care about directly — not for specific posts, but for the person. $5–25/month, set by the artist. Some artists unlock Recipes and Blueprints for their subscribers, some post exclusive artwork and writing, some just let their audience support them without any perks — it's their call. The distinction that matters: subscribers are backing the artist, not buying the work. Free stuff stays free.

What is Writing on Drift Gallery?

Writing is long-form content published by artists — workflow breakdowns, tutorials, creative process deep-dives, behind-the-scenes notes. Find it on the Writing tab of any artist’s gallery page. Some writing is subscriber-only — subscribe to the artist to read it.

Yes. All published public writing has open comments. You need to be signed in to comment.

Can artists publish subscriber-only writing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Artists with a fan subscription configured can mark writing as subscriber-only. Non-subscribers see the title and first two paragraphs with a subscribe prompt. Once set to subscriber-only, it can’t be reverted to public.

Can anyone publish writing?

Approved artists with a Standard or Pro plan can publish writing. Like artwork, your first piece goes through a quick review before going live.

How do I create a new piece of writing?

Click the Upload button in the nav and choose ‘Write’, or go to /articles/new directly. The editor is a full rich text editor — bold, italic, headings, lists, blockquotes, code blocks, links, and inline images all work with familiar keyboard shortcuts. No markdown knowledge needed.

Can I connect my Medium blog to Drift Gallery?

Yes. In Settings → Account → Writing, enter your Medium username and click Connect. Your most recent Medium posts will appear alongside your native writing on your gallery’s Writing tab. Posts link out to Medium — we don’t mirror content. The feed refreshes daily.

A copy-paste prompt package. You get the exact prompt, tool instructions, and style notes. Copy, paste into your AI tool, generate.

Can I use purchased prompts commercially?

Yes. All paid Recipes and Blueprints include commercial use rights. You can use the outputs in client work, products, and commercial projects.

Will I get the same results as the artist?

AI output is inherently variable. The same prompt produces different results depending on tool version, settings, and random seed. You get the artist’s exact process, but your results will be unique variations.

Can I get a refund?

Recipes are non-refundable (instant digital delivery). Blueprints have a 7-day window for broken files or misleading descriptions. AI output variability is not grounds for a refund. See /refunds.

Where can I find my purchased prompts and workflows?

Everything you buy appears in My Purchases, accessible from your profile menu in the top navigation. You can revisit purchased Recipes, Blueprints, and Personas anytime.

After purchasing, rate 1–5 stars with an optional review. Aggregate ratings appear on the listing after 5 or more ratings.

Yes. Artists can upload video clips in MP4 or WebM format, up to 30 seconds long and 100MB in size. Video posts autoplay silently in the Explore feed alongside images. You can filter the feed to show only images or only video.

Can I edit my post after uploading?

Yes. Click the Edit Post button on your post page to update the title, description, style tags, pricing, and product content (prompt text, generation settings, LoRA references, ComfyUI workflows, and more). Media (images/videos) can be replaced using the Replace button on the post page.

What is the signature/watermark feature?

Artists can upload a custom signature image or create one using 30 preset artist-style fonts — in Settings or directly on the Upload page. The signature gets composited onto artwork during upload. You can control position, size, and opacity, and preview it before saving. Signatures appear on the full-resolution image but not on thumbnails.

Recipes: $2–4 typical. Blueprints: $5–15 typical (max $50). Offer at least one free Recipe to attract buyers.

What are fan subscriptions?

Enable fan subscriptions in Settings, set a monthly price between $5 and $25, and choose which of your Recipes and Blueprints are free for subscribers. You can also post exclusive subscriber-only artwork and writing. Subscribers back you directly — the revenue is recurring, and you don't have to paywall anything to accept it. How does the artist approval process work?

New artists apply by submitting a portfolio URL, 1-5 sample artworks, a list of tools they use, and a short pitch. Our team reviews applications and approves artists who meet our quality standards. Once approved, you can subscribe to Standard or Pro and start uploading. If your application is not approved, you can reapply after 30 days.

Does Drift Gallery charge me to use the platform?

No. Joining, uploading, writing, and running your gallery are all free — there's no platform access fee or monthly charge beyond the subscription tier itself (which is free for founding artists). DG only takes a percentage when you actually earn money.

What are the fees on transactions?

On sales, tips, and fan subscription payments: Standard tier is 12%, Pro tier is 5%, founding artists are 5%. Stripe processes payments and takes 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction separately.

Can I delete my account?

Yes — go to Settings → Account → Danger Zone → Delete Account. All subscriptions are cancelled immediately, your content is hidden, and your account is permanently deleted after 30 days. Buyers who purchased your work retain access during the 30-day window.
