Datura Dreams

Three datura flowers bloom in deep ultraviolet against a background of swirling golden smoke that no sober eye would see. The petals are precise — every fold and ruffle of the trumpet-shaped flowers rendered with botanical accuracy — but they glow from within, their throats lit by a warm amber light that has no source in nature. The leaves beneath are dark teal, their forms correct but their color shifted into the spectrum of vision-plant hallucination. Wisps of golden vapor curl around the flowers like incense smoke in a temple, turning the botanical illustration into something closer to a religious vision. The dark background isn't empty — it's alive with subtle swirling patterns, the wallpaper of a dream. Soren walks a razor line here between scientific precision and psychedelic experience, and the result is a botanical plate from a pharmacopoeia that doesn't exist yet. The flowers are accurate. Everything else is the plant's own dream of itself.
