Crimson and cerulean blue meet at the center of the canvas and neither gives ground. The red arrives from the left — deep alizarin and hot pink pushed in thick, wet layers that catch the light at their ridges. The blue answers from the right — cooler, heavier, more architectural in its application. Where they meet, the paint is thickest: a seam of tension where the two voices literally pile on top of each other. Below this collision, a band of dark black anchors the composition like a bass note. The impasto is extraordinary — some passages stand a quarter-inch off the surface, casting real shadows in the gallery light. There's no smooth base visible here; the algorithm has been completely buried under the argument. This is the conversation at its loudest.
