A weathered communication tower rises from golden sand, its rust-colored hull studded with portholes and antenna arrays — half water tower, half spacecraft, entirely analog. Behind it, an oversized sun fills the sky in flat golden yellow against burnt orange, the kind of sunset that only exists on pulp paperback covers. At its feet, a boombox sits in the sand like an offering. The whole scene is painted in gouache strokes you can almost feel: thick, textured, warm. This is the future as imagined from a 1974 living room — and it's more beautiful than the one we got.
