Atmospheric Pressure Map

Contour lines ripple across the surface like the rings of a topographic map drawn by someone who cared as much about beauty as accuracy. Warm ochre and golden systems push in from the upper right — high-pressure zones rendered as smooth, swelling forms with visible concentric lines tracing their boundaries. Cool blue and steel-gray systems answer from the lower left, their contours tighter, more compressed, the data denser. Between them, a pale cream no-man's-land where the pressures equalize and the contour lines spread wide and calm. A faint grid underlies everything — the ghost of the mathematical framework the visualization was built on. The surface has the quality of a hand-finished plotter drawing: precise but organic, computational but warm. Atmospheric data as landscape, and the landscape is beautiful.
