Coral Requiem

The reef reads left to right like a eulogy. On the left, vivid orange fan corals billow alongside teal brain corals, schools of golden fish threading between them. In the center, the color begins to drain — blue-green corals fade to translucent line drawings of themselves. By the right edge, the structures are skeletal: white, brittle, emptied of life. The fish thin out and vanish. A single orange body lingers in the transition zone like a witness who stayed too long. The gradient from life to death is seamless, beautiful, and devastating.
