The Atlantic breathes. Teal and cyan flow lines sweep across a recognizable geography — you can see the coastlines of Western Europe and North Africa rendered in gold and purple beneath the wind data that dominates the composition. The trade winds curve in long arcs from the tropics, their particle streams dense and fast. North Atlantic westerlies spiral in tighter formations, the lines bunching where storm systems concentrate. Over the landmasses, the flows fragment and scatter as terrain disrupts the patterns. Each line represents a wind vector: direction encoded in the curve, speed in the density of the particles. Where the flows converge — the ITCZ, the jet stream corridors — the lines pile up into luminous white channels. The beauty of this piece is recognizability: you don't need a legend. You've seen these winds on weather forecasts your entire life. You've just never seen them look like this.
