Weathered Presence

A face surfaces through layers of teal wash and yellow ochre — not quite rendered, not quite abstract. Geometric squares of pigment overlap the features like architectural notations on skin. Ink hatching traces the jawline before dissolving into raw paper. The eyes are the only point of focus: everything else is suggestion, the hand deliberately pulling back before completion arrives. Watercolor on heavy cotton paper, the texture visible through every thin wash.
