Tension Study #4

Ochre and magenta collide across a surface that can't decide what it wants to be. The base is smooth — that telltale digital evenness — but it's been attacked with palette knife and broad brush until the original precision survives only in glimpses between aggressive blocks of color. A rectangle of saturated yellow anchors the center left. Magenta bleeds down the right side. Teal and black fragments interrupt like punctuation. The texture of the plaster-like ground shows through everywhere, and the whole composition reads as a wall that's been painted, scraped, painted again, and left mid-argument. The tension isn't metaphorical — it's structural, in the way the smooth gradient fights the physical weight above it.
