Scratched Palimpsest

A weathered board serves as an archaeological record of every creative decision — and every reversal. A purple cloud of pigment blooms at center, surrounded by gold leaf fragments, a dense black rectangle, torn paper edges, and scratched graphite lines that map previous compositions since painted over. The surface is thick with evidence: adhesive residue, water stains, the ghost outlines of elements removed. Each layer visible through the one above it. Time as medium, revision as subject.
