Weathered Documentation

A face stares out from beneath decades of decay. The photographic portrait — monochrome, unflinching, close-cropped — has been pasted onto a surface of cracked ochre and charcoal gray, the adhesive failing, the paper peeling at the edges. A vertical crease bisects the face like a scar. The eyes hold steady despite the deterioration surrounding them. A small fragment of printed text clings to the lower left. This isn't documentation of a person — it's documentation of what time does to the documentation of a person.
